Big wine but balanced and with a long finish. Small production which gives it a unique expression. Had it with an eggplant Milanese which was just perfect.

Lush, with a lot of fruit and good weight on the palate.

You folks have heard of Elyse Winery, right? They make probably my most favorite zins in Napa. Well this is their other label, named after their son (Elyse is their daughter) - which comprises their estate Cab, a Petite Sirah (from Hayne) and a Bordeaux blend. We bought this many years ago while visiting there and completely lost it somehow until tonight. So beautiful and, more so, a great memory from a past trip. Nice blackberry fruit and chocolate flavors. Not a terribly big wine - soft and smooth and drinking perfectly.

For an almost 8 year old Napa Cab I thought this should have been a bit more expressive.

Raspberry, cooked blueberry, slight cherry hint, spice, hint of licorice on the nose. While this may go well with food, thoroughly enjoyed drinking this solo.

Another winespies purchase that has proven to be a good purchase. Strong spice, blackberry and slight cherry, cinnamon, and more. Medium tannins. A 7 year old wine that likely could age another 5 - 10 years.
