Dark garnet. Inviting nose and juicy palate of plum (lead) and black fruit (background). Medium tannins and medium acidity wrapped in a voluptuous full body. Enjoy with a Porterhouse or either of its component parts. Sheer joy from Yakima!

Delicious! Blue and blackberry. Pencil lead, and integrated sweet oak. Full body and velvety tannin. This winery always delivers

Stewed plum, bacon fat, and a whif of mocha on the nose, supported by a touch of charred oak.. Fresh, ripe raspberry on the bountiful attack with vanilla, strawberry cream, plum, and baking spice/tobacco on the finish. Lighter on it's feet than other vintages, but more elegant and clean.. Not as much of a driving force as an attack of precision. Young, to be sure, but I couldn't resist.

Blackberry, creme de cassis, and dark chocolate bark with a touch of smoke on the nose after 3 hours decanting. Blackberry/blueberry jelly with juicy, sweet tannins that are SO well rounded. Dense and chewy on the finish.. Love it.

85% merlot 15% Cab franc, Yakima Valley. 16 months French oak, one year old barrels. Smoky, complex and richly textured but tannins and acidity are too unruly at this point. Needs serious time in the cellar but should be worth it.

Yummy bouquet of both bright fresh cherry and jarred maraschino, both quality Ceylon cinnamon and Red Hots candy, with some aged leather jacket, earthy summer woods, and hints of brown sugar on the nose. Mildly chewy and moderately juicy mouthfeel with cherry, plum, raspberry, and blueberry on the palate with a nice long finish of zippy, cinnamon-y, peppery tannins. Well balanced spiced and interesting red with an impressively long finish.

A solid red enjoyable with a variety of foods, full but not oppressive. Would enjoy again, but would not search it out
