Terre de Galets Côtes du Rhône Red Blend

I like this estate, their wines are always evocative and emit a regional personality. This was my first time trying this, the entry level cuvée - it's a plump, juicy little number and an excellent value. Fruit-sweet, with plum, lavender and some black tea notes, along with a cherry pit quality on the finish. Finishes with a peppery kick. It's got a lot of meat on the bones and is definitely warm, but the 15+% isn't too obvious or off-putting. Nice cocktail wine.

A very serviceable Cote-du-Rhone, tasting of a Syrah/Cab Franc blend. Lovely minerality and velvety fruit, clearly a blend. Leads with rosemary and wet stones, finishes grapey and Grenachey.

Again this is the unsulfered version. Lacks a little of the freshness of the previous.

Principal grape is #carignan and is blended with #grenache #counoise #syrah and #mourvedre A true #cotesdurhone for #grenacheday It's without sulphites and was drinking incredibly well

Dark, minerally and heavy . Not very funky. Slightly boring. 2016. 20 bucks at flatiron

2014 is amazing. Structure needing day three to soften enough. Syrah complexity with pepper and eucalyptus

Mm. Körsbär och björnbär i försmak. Peprig eftersmak kanske. Mineraligt och sött.

Great.

Very smooth and quite dense with many of the flavours of the blend evident. To pair with something robust.
