Shiraz is my preferred wine and this one is up there with those I have enjoyed the most. I like the full bodied style with huge character, nothing subtle here and 16.8% alcohol!

Aromas of fruit cake smothered with rum, musk, dark chocolate, and blackberry preserves. The blackberry really comes through on the palate. Nice finish and not as caustic as I feared for these hot climate, high-alcohol Aussie big reds.

Deep ruby hue. Aromas and flavors of blackberry, blueberry, chocolate, leather, pepper, strawberry, and vanilla. Medium-plus body; medium-plus tannins; and medium-plus acidity. Engaging on the nose, with a velvety, plush mouthfeel, and a long, slightly bitter finish. Well-balanced and highly quaffable stuff.
