On the nose; ruby, dark cassis, blackberries, black raspberries, black plum, plum, cinnamon, vanilla, mocha, caramel, dark chocolate, sweet tarry notes, black pepper, black olive, loamy dry clay & top soil, beautiful lavender and violets.

The body is full and beautiful. The palate tannins are; round, meaty and chewy, but much softer than the 15 Syrah. Fruits are; ruby, dark cassis, blackberries, black raspberries, black plum, cherries, strawberries & plum, Cinnamon, vanilla, mocha, caramel, dark chocolate, sweet tarry notes, black pepper, black olive, chewy leather, dry stones, loamy dry clay & top soil, some dry crushed rock powder, beautiful lavender and violets. The acidy is nice & round, the long, beautiful, round, ripe, ruby, elegant finish is nicely polished.

Photos of; another photo walking their property with the Foxtails in full bloom. Estate Syrah grapes and an old large Chilean oak barrel they acquired from a winery they purchased adjacent to their property. Its doors open up as shown in the bottom photo. Inside it tells their tale of biodynamic moon cycle practices.

Celebration with friends. Well, I expected more from this syrah. Maybe it was decanted for too short, but I could smell rather intense barnyard smells, with enough peppery spiciness in my mouth and that’s pretty much it.

Slightly off bottle, can tell how awesome this wine should be though. Stoked I have another bottle.

Deep dark purple wine always turns me on. This or did its job. Spices, pepper and soil highlight this Syrah. Tannins in this wine were on the softer side of medium. It went lovely with lamb.
