Outstanding Touriga Nacional, introduced to us by the nice Portuguese folks sitting with us on the patio.

Bit too much toast for me, but fun. Earth is king.

No notes but as I recall this was very savory, lots of black tea, dried herbs and tart cherry, after a couple hours it opened up very nicely, gaining vibrancy and grip on the palette. This wine has high acidity and little alcoholic weight. One complaint would be it seems to lack mid palette but the last drops of this were an absolute joy to drink. Impressive stuff from the Dao in an ideal drinking window.

The surprise of the night: way strapping (if at 13.5), and blossomed like a got-damned flower when paired with a steak.

11 hours in decanter and still had a lot of acid. 5+ years in cellar and this will be top wine.

Vivid nose with vibrant red and black fruits, and chocolate. Elegant but forward at the same time. The palate is rich with smooth sweet fruit and good acidity. Nicely structured.
