Great Burgundy at this pricepoint. Persuasive light appearance with a deep character. From a parcel in the village of Vosne-Romanée, but just outside the appellation. Farmed biological for over 40 years already. Your everyday Burgundy.

The entry level bottle from a rising young superstar in Burgundy and my friends, it does kick. It can’t sit next to more expensive bottles but compared to similarly priced bottles, it stands a bit above.

A clear, almost shiny burgundy color with lilac undertones. Very floral upon opening with a nice core of juicy red fruit aromas coming behind that. Fresh cherries are dominant with a good bit of spice. Some very nice earthiness, as well. Underbrush and freshly stirred up dirt. Nutmeg and crushed herbs with raspberry streusel.

From a single vineyard in Vosne-Romanée but outside the line granting it appellation rights. It may be a Basic Burg but it really does have that special factor to it. Light to medium bodied and graceful, this is a lithe and sleek little Pinot that’s still fun even in its infancy. Silky, with more elegance than you were expecting on the tongue. More lively red fruits and dried earth on the palate. Decently long finish that leaves you wanting more. Verdet is definitely one to watch for the future.
