Generally would agree that this wine doesn’t come off with a lot of classic umph that one might expect from 1er Cru but the 1er Cru terroir of chassagne is there undoubtedly and this does give way to the classic opinion that Puligny is usually more overtly pleasurable than Chassagne. It is complicated by mineral with a nice tropical inflection and a subtle energy but it is not explosive. I enjoyed this with many different good foods and had a lovely time as always with a noble Chardonnay like this. Enjoyable and delicious and evolved nicely over 3 days with sushi, noodles, pork, and lots of vegetables.

Very light and elegant. Maybe too austere.

Light/medium yellow. Great floral/citrus nose. Charming array of bright citrus/nuts and zingy acidity and minerals. Smooth honeyed mouthfeel and long finish. Consumed over 2 nights, on the first with king 🦀 legs. Happy Holidays to you all.

You can taste the limestone. Sort of flinty and wet on the nose. opens up fully in palate as a beautiful unoaky Chardonnay with body &depth . Rich & full as only white burgundy can be. Yuuuuum!!! 2010
