Always a wonderfully balanced and elegant California Chardonnay. Delicate and lifted, floral and expressive. Mid palate weight is very fine-tuned and vibrant. Fresh stone fruit and citrus, oak is quite seamless in the overall structure. RRV appellation cuvées are now 100% estate sourced and have never shown better. 2016 is going to be a lovely vintage.

White flowers, lemon curd and asian pears with a sweet caramel finish on nose. Palate is pears, apples, stone fruits with some citrus and oak.

Crowd pleasing CA chard. Tangerine and grapefruit on the nose with a little hint of oak. The body has some good weight along with a pleasant kick of acid on the finish.

Love this classic style Sonoma Chard. Good acid to go with the double mal.

Pale lemon in color.

Fruity on the nose with lots of oak and vanilla, lemons, melons, peaches, tropical fruits, mangoes and bananas. A very typical California Chardonnay nose.

Full bodied, smooth and buttery, with medium acidity and long legs.

Fruity on the palate with lemons, citrus, cream and almonds.

Medium finish with bitter almonds.

A Nice oaky Chardonnay from Russian River Valley in California.
Good quality, balanced, but too oaky for my taste.

I paired it with baked salmon, carrots and mashed potatoes.
High in alcohol, but very smooth, I couldn't really feel it.

14.5% alcohol by volume.

I so rarely drink any Chardonnay with noticeable oak (this was 22% new French) that it always sticks out to me. This is minimal, and well-integrated, mixed with a bit of vanilla, stone fruit and citrus. With backbone. A very good food wine, I should think.

Always a good staple. Bright but still a nice amount of oak.
