Deep purplish ruby red. Very stinky attack on the nose that wore off with around 10 minutes in the glass. Tons of bell peppers with a little bit of dark cocoa and perfumes notes in the finish. Dark attack on the palate with smooth yet moderate tannins (6.5/10). Solid layers starting with greenery on the palate with dried red cherries and earthy undertones. Medium bodied with a dry and lengthy finish. Drink till 2025.

Couleur intense semblable au Clos du Noyer. Prune noire, framboise / cerises noires. M'a semblé moins complexe que le Clos du Noyer, moins complet et moins long en bouche. Très satisfaisant.

A nice masculine Franc with fruits of pomegranate, dark cherry, and cassis. Sage, black pepper, some cloves, and decent amount of oak involved. I feel like an entire lack of minerality, a bit much on the oak, and a lack of any dramatic notes left me to score this this where I did. The grape clones used are fantastic.. the resources and talent of the winemaker leave me hoping their process is tweaked in the future. Can still age a few years.

Smooth mouthfeel and moderate tannins. Very balanced. Decanted for one hour. Aroma of freshly cut grass and blackberry. This pairs great with manchego or idiazabal cheeses, or with smoked fish.

Blackcurrant with hints of toasted bread. Got great acidity with underlying slatey minerality.

Goodish. Rather average. Smell of freshly bought tobacco. Same taste as smell. It's good... But. Tastes as if more alcoholic than it actually is. Needs air! Let. It. Breath!

There is a reason this a blending grape. It's a bit harsh by itself.
