1990. Great wine but beyond its time. Not ox but just old. But a good old. Much respect.

2009 vintage Grivaut Meursault. Lemon curd, mushroom/cheesy/funk with a long aftertaste of sweet peach/vanilla/french oakiness. Great chardonnay for $28. An old world mirror image to Newton's unfiltered chard but with more funk and at half the price.

Clear, brilliant, evenly concentrated but low density, pale yellow with a slightly denser core and slim silver rim. Dry, medium plus, mouthwatering acid. Expressive, complex nose with pronounced marmalade, fresh pineapple, hazelnut, with subtle crème fraiche, and crème brulee. Aromas, slight phenolic bitterness, medium plus astringency, and vanilla finish suggests partial new oak maturation. Full body, rich texture, medium viscosity and medium plus heat (13.5%)Concentrated flavors are consistent with the nose. Long evolving finish. Excellent
