Big time Burgundy funk. Rich and dark. The other side of elegant and see through.

Had the same wine a few weeks ago. Both bottles acquired @ Chambers.
First one was very dissapointing (past its peak). This one was absolutelly different, except the nose (both pretty much closed).
Dry tanins, followed by a dark fruit profile which turned, unexpectdlly, into a very nice sour cherry. Something impossible to happen in my mind when compared to the previous bottle.
The amount of acidity and tanins, along with such incredible fruit transformation, makes me think about buying another one and keept it for 10 years.

Sweet oak on the nose.
Austere dark fruit profile.
Very disappointing on the palate. Noticeable rough edges.
Very different from the outstanding 2007 I had a year ago.
