Tired, but cool to try my north year of this nonetheless.

Beautiful Volnay, ripe cherry, tea leaves... bottle disappeared before I could make notes. Would buy again.

Got this for $35 and blowing us away. Cherry trees, pomegranate, rose petals, big red bubble gum/cinnamon, iron. Beautiful wine and so good with homemade Osso Bucco tonight.

Beautifully smooth wine. The balance of fruit, tannins and spice is spot on.

This is what french aristocrats were drinking in the 1920s, I can taste that regal old-person kind of thing. The style here is such a blast from the past! Not sure if everyone would like it and actually not sure if I could drink this regularly but damn what a great example of burgundy.

Pomegranate, rotting cherries and blood orange. Touch of brett, meaty, smokey and wild character. Savory herbs and great acidity. Nice cedary oak and good spice. 10-20% new oak.

A bit light but still very much the floral notes and soft fruit of Volnay. Won't have more than another five years left so drink up!

The top burg of the eve, right ready to drink with its seductive sweet berry nose, mushroom and decaying leaves, and pretty flowers. ripe but balanced, a bit of wood spice but very well integrated. Long in the finish and congruent throughout.
