Appropriately named as we served this estate’s rosso at our wedding and I suppose it’s therefore “in the blood” at this point. Dark, earthy, complex and alluring, violets, raspberry, subtle woodsmoke and dried underbrush. Smooth but firm structurally. I buy it whenever I can and it will hold and improve

Crushed stone and earthy minerals blow off to reveal sugar-dusted red currant and a hint of spiced orange, as the deeply seductive 2018 Vino Nobile di Montepulciano opens in the glass. This is soothingly soft yet energetic with a spicy citrus tension. Red and black berries linger, along with sweet tannins, as this tapers off fresh and lifted. The 2018 may not be the longest-lived Vino Nobile from Sanguineto, but it will make a lot of people happy over the medium term. (Eric Guido, Vinous, December 2021)

Juicy and tart with gentle tannins. Prune plum on the nose, piquant fruit, some herbal tomato stem notes. Super salty complex finish. Nose is subtle but everything else is singing. Couldn’t ask for a better pasta puttanesca wine.

Perfectly pleasant, but a big flabby and juicy for me. If ya gotta drink Tuscan, I guess this'll do.

Amazingly lively and perfect with both squid ink pasta puttanesca and sausage pizza tonight.

Deeeeeelish! Wonderful bouquet of sage, rhubarb , touches of strawberry bramble and white pepper. Tons of fruit with a nice balance of acid. Beautifully balanced 14%

Over delivers with lively texture dusty tannins mature red fruits and earthy finish at 15 years of age. Perfect with pizza. Actually quaffable without food.
