I've always adored his wines. Earth & dark berry with a soft/smooth mouthfeel.

Apr 9th, 2016At this stage it shows too much burnt rubber aroma, typical of Teroldego, it develops tar and leathery quality like Nebbiolo after some oxidation but without the balsamic, dried flowers and menthol aromas of Nebbiolo. Shows more refinement and restraint than most and natural dynamics as well. Limited aromatic range and too much flavor without an adequate structure, but it is the inherent quality of the variety and not the winemaker’s doing. The compromise between the impact and the reserve power is ideally set, and there is a quiet sense of authority accompanied by humility.
