Domaine Harmand-Geoffroy
Mazis-Chambertin Grand Cru Pinot Noir
Still a lil too young to show its stuff. Power, structure, deep raspberry, still just some reductive qualities

Jan 7th, 2018Their 2010 is a Burgundy with class and style. A wine you can drink now or even better in 10-15+ years. Dry dark earthy sour elegant cherries, sugary spice, Montecristo cigar, chalky, ginger and a finish that does not stop.

Grown at a steep slope, bead rock is close to the surface, the vineyard has perfect drainage. You can see the change in limestone when tasting through the Harmond-Geoffroy range.

Mar 24th, 20161997 Mazis-Chambertain. Rose petal, pomegranate, iron , creosote. Mint tea. Beautiful complex stuff. Textured grainy tannins. Very long and layered. Probably has another 5+ years but drinking beautifully now.
