2019 vintage. Owned by the Cuvelier family (Léoville-Poyferré). Cabernet Sauvignon (57%), Merlot (33%), Cabernet Franc (5%) and Petit Verdot (5%). Super ripe black fruit with a powerful ripe tannic structure. profound and long. More sensual than most in Saint-Estèphe and another great 2019. Abv. 14%. Highly recommended.

Nose has ripe blackberry, mashed blueberry, light cedar, spring voilets and tanned leather.

Palate has rich (!!) chocolate covered blackberry, mullberry, blueberry seeds, blackberry jam, moist earthy loamy soil and wet sand.

In a very nice spot tonight after a 4-hour decant. A perfect pair alongside local, grass-fed beef patties on a super hot grill, great crust and warm middle.

Also a great accompaniment to Robert Glasper's newest project, R+R=Now, Collagically Speaking, a great West Coast style jazz album, keeping with the Glasper-style, but adding some serious players surrounding him. On Blue Note for this release, so serious respect from the industry.

Well ripened and fresh, with a solid mid palette. Sleeper St Estephe. Drink now.

Deep ruby with purple accents, rustic with chewy tannins, 50CS/37M, merlot added to tame the CS tannins. Tough vintage, black fruit coulis #SommCon

Love the heady blueberry and violet overtones. Broad, but could use a little more focus. Easy and stony. #sommcon

A nicely-styled Saint-Estephe—from the Cuvelier family, owners of Leoville Poyferre—in a modest vintage year. The 2011 Château Le Crock opens with lush, inviting aromas of black currant, smoky black cherries, pen ink, leather, and earth. There are no hard edges on the palate, black fruit luxuriates against a framework of well-structured tannins, moderate acidity, and an unexpected yet welcome dusting of cresosote that emerges on the finish, co-mingling with cedar and dried herbs. Sample | 13.5% ABV

Overall firm and lean. Could use more time.

Not in the same class as poyferre but a good wine for the vintage!
