This may be the best American Cabernet that no one knows about. Very small yield; jump on it any chance you can get. Big, big, big, wine!

2007 was a bit past its prime- maybe due to poor storage. Would have been delicious 2 years ago

2011 vintage Cabernet. Aiken cellars owner and winemaker. She knows exactly what to do with her Cabernet. True understanding here. #rutherforddust #pnv15

2010 vintage. Great expression of napa Cabernet Sauvignon. Ripe fruit, savory notes, and big yet smooth tannin.

Dark muddy ruby color. (Wine was not filtered). Tertiary notes come flying out of the glass (wet soil, tobacco dried violets) with a hint of dried black fruit. Dried blackberry and prune on the palate with additional touches of dark chocolate, beef jerky and oak. Nice balance. I honestly thought that this was an Old World wine. Well crafted. Interesting wine, John B!

Very smooth. Lots of substance. Leaning sweet with lingering finish.

Lots of deep cherry fruit and floral notes on the nose and pallet from a very difficult Napa vintage. Smooth and easy to drink. Really good.
