Extremely tight, especially for the vintage. Sour cherry, bergamot, mushroom, black tea, toasted brioche. Great acidity and lots of finesse on the finish. Just not terribly expressive yet. Give it time! Lots of potential.

Earthy mushroomy. Amazing with Betony's Sunday night wild Scottish pheasant.

Les Chantreries - Chateau de Pommard -2001 : magnum . Liquoreux , charpenté, gros caractère, un peu moins gouleyant, touche d’acidité légère. Un bonheur. Joyeux noel.

I always fall in the same trap. The one in a million Burg which is < 50$ and will blow me away. Well this ain’t it. It has this old Burg smell. Ultra tannic and little else. I will decant and then retry in 5 hours but I doubt my rating will change. Addendum - still lousy hours later.
