Don't think of Rossi di Montalcino as inferior to Brunello, Elisa Sesti told me, but as a younger wine that "heralds the new vintage." It's a wonderful way of thinking of this young, fresh, fruity, but complex and layered wine.

Pretty shy tonight, maybe too you as the fruit was the entire show, structure was on the soft side. Expected more structure and terroir driven wine...had the 2010 Rosso last year and it was excellent...going to wait on the other bottles.
