Tonight I have opened a Pinot Noir from Burgundy. The nose brings a beautiful Strawberry, Cranberry, a bit herbaceous, a little smokey oak, some mushroom and wet stone. on the palate I get hit right away with cherries, under ripe strawberries, sassafras, rhubarb and mushroom. There are medium tannins a bit drying, medium acidity, toasty oak and forest floor. Not a bad burgundy and at $23.99 very doable.

A very nice wine. A great mix of fruit (cherry, raspberry) and earth on the nose. Good acidity and nice long finish. A well-balanced and interesting wine, and we'll deserving of the $35

Pretty notable tannins, strawberry, cherry, well structured Bourgogne. Needs quite a bit of airing.

More rustic than the baurralts but still a great value burg. Darker fruits and spice with a somewhat tart finish

Hairy, shoe leather, mushroom. Pristine strawberry in mid. Steely finish that I wish went a bit longer.

Plenty of cherry on nose and palate. Quite broad and full and very approachable. I’d say a few years will open up a whole lot more complexity but it’s good drinking already.
