Packed with red fruit, acid and minerals. Good bit of sweetness too, should benefit from additional short term aging.

Damn this is good. Mostly nebbiolo, but the lighter, spicier pelaverga also shows through

Nebbiolo Rosato

Elatis blends nebbiolo, pelaverga, & barbera

DAY1
Served with Vinloq System
👁Crystal clear: pink and light orange
👃Citrus. Bright & fresh
👅Elegant. Grapefruit, strawberry, chalky minerality with light smoke. Concentrated by rosé standards. Crisp finish with mod+ length

Stored Vinloq Preserved wine in fridge

DAY5
Rosés are very transparent and fragile so oxidation quickly diminishes the fun. No oxidation here. Just as outstanding as DAY1 with no loss of fruit or oxidative notes

Elatis is beautifully executed and an outstanding value👍

The way the colours of this show in the light remind you of the true origin/meaning of the Homeric epithet “the wine-dark sea”. It’s not that the sea itself is wine-coloured, but rather that the way light refracts through the depths resembles the light gradations in a glass of wine. Wild strawberries, huge mineral note, acid, long finish with attractive tannic astringency. Keep a few around. Beautiful work.

The nose shows ripe honeydew and crushed yellow apple with sweet herbs and smoky minerals. On the palate, the 2019 Burlotto Elatis Rosato coasts with ease. It is cool-toned and riding a core of vibrant acids, minerals, and citrus-tinged fruits. The finish is long, buzzing with energy, and just begging for another sip. This is a unique and wonderfully stimulating blend of 60% Pelaverga, 35% Nebbiolo and 5% Barbera. (Eric Guido, Vinous, May 2020)

#FBF when we were drinking 2013 Pelaverga rosé with Fabio Alessandria last Spring. Cannot wait to get my hands on more one day.
