A little more complex than the 2016.

Aromas of dried cherries, forest floor and mushroom. A bit hot but complex cherry, leather and a touch of clove.

Light ruby
Nose: raspberry, cherry, light cedar
Palate: ripe raspberry and cherries, light oak / wood / cedar
High alcohol, medium acidity, low tannins
Well balanced, nice complexity, intensity good for the grape variety, length good fit the vintage.
Need to get a case. Would love to try another in a few years.

About 3.5 yrs since my last btl. On the nose:.soft oak toast, mild coffee, spice, and a touch of stems. On the palate, very fresh, with great acidity, then coffee, a touch of toast, and attenuated tannin. A nice aged PN, but more Sancerre rouge in style than Burg.

Good taste but I don’t love the aftertaste

Dense yet silky. Still reds time to integrate. Probably could have cut three or four months of barrel aging out but there's a good core of dark red fruit and blood orange acidity with some cinnamon element

Essentially a bust - so far I did not had a good NZ Pinot. Too acidic lack of fruit. Quite earthy but that was it.
