Great Rioja from one of my favourite bodegas. Beautiful brick-red colour and smell typical of old Rioja. Still showing well at 28 years. Wouldn't keep for more than 30; developing acidity with notes of apple alongside oak and old grapes. Still an experience, would have been fabulous with game.

Sep 16th, 2013Very nice Rioja. Opened it on morning and drunk in evening; only improvement would have been to open it the night before. A little more air would have improved its texture.
