If you drink it on a boat it tastes better. Stereotypical Marlborough Sauvignon blanc here.

The bright straw/yellow '12 Eradus Sauvignon Blanc 'Awatere Valley' had a rich nose of tropical fruit, melon and grassy herbaceous aromas. Zingy, mineral-laced flavors of gooseberry develop in the mouth. Quite harmonious with a powerful sustained finish.

Having reached peak Kim Crawford, we searched the LCBO for another Sauv Blanc to drink with our pesto. I'm a little wary of wines that come with point scores and medals pasted all over the bottle, but this one lived up to the hype.

The nose is typical of a NZ Sauvignon Blanc, with notes on tropical fruit, citrus, and freshly cut grass. Medium body. Dangerously drinkable, with just enough acidity.
