Getting Beaune’d

Very primary and sweet red fruit on the nose. Wood spice and floral. Purity and a simple essence is the thing here. A tad immature.

Ripe, but balanced. A bit animal, a little bitter. Overall pretty nice.

Throwback to dinner at Bell’s

Ripe cherry, medium-weight, nicely drying on the tongue with nice acid/tannin balance. Silky smooth with just a touch of forest-floor/mushroom earth to offset the cherry. Nice food wine in a friendly place of its development.

Perfect Beaune Red Fruit and spice

Medium magenta burgundy color, smells of eucalyptus, bell pepper, cassis candy, raspberry, Maraschino cherry, a bit of damp forest, and Asian five spice, firm tannin, balanced acidity, tastes of black cherry, raspberry, black tea, garrigue, cranberry with a hibiscus finish, medium finish with light white pepper finish.
