Scents of dark fruit and smoke, yet easy on the palate. Strong oak, medium tannin, zips up the sides of the tongue. Best enjoyed while watching Game of Thrones with your friends.

Travel stamp or lab data label. Kinda cool. Unique. Lovely color. Dark with a edge of red roses. Aroma is dense and earthy. Has a floral side. Like roses and oranges. Maybe some blood oranges. Flavors are lean and defined. Like a six pack or yoga pants booty. Plenty of black fruits, some tartness, and a hint of char. Tannins are nice. Bitter like dark chocolate or medium roast coffee, but it’s just right. This is a bit austere and very lean, but it’s not overbearing or extreme. It’s a nice sweet spot kinda Rioja. Could be enjoyed in an elegant, intimate setting by a fire with someone special that likes Spanish wine, but it’s also nice with crackers and Brie for a Valentines Day for one. #selflove.

Nose of cherry, currant, iron, and some distant oak and black pepper.

Bright and red fruited on the palate: sour cherry, currant, with a touch of creamy oak and spice. Medium to med+ acidity and med to med-, soft tannin.

Nice, elegant, more old school Rioja. On the simple side, but good balance and excellent value.

Darker red fruit. Smooth, but mostly indistinct red fruit. A little alcoholy. Good and probably better with food. Wine night - 7/19/17.

A light, smooth young Rioja red wine that goes well with a light summer dinner.
