Forgot about this one but still very fresh. Don’t let anybody tell you rose doesn’t improve in the bottle. Red berries, pit fruit, mandarin orange, fleshy with vibrant acidity

All the extra heft and concentration you want from top pink Bandol. Spicy, mineral elements play nice with white peach, nectarine fruitiness. IMO, every bit the wine Tempier Rosé is, at a fraction of the price.

Vivid orange-pink. Bright, minerally and focused on the highly perfumed nose, displaying fresh blood orange, strawberry and floral aromas that expand steadily with aeration. Energetic and chewy in the mouth, offering concentrated red berry, citrus fruit and honeysuckle flavors that show excellent depth and delineation. Closes taut and precise, displaying strong persistence and a resonating floral note. (Josh Raynolds, Vinous, August 2019)

Limpid orange-pink. Expressive red berry, blood orange and pit fruit aromas are accompanied by building mineral and floral nuances. Taut and energetic in the mouth, offering sappy strawberry, orange zest and lavender flavors braced by a spine of chalky minerality. Finishes silky and impressively long, with repeating mineral and floral notes. (Josh Raynolds, Vinous, July 2021)

The 2018 Domaine de la Bastide Blanche Rosé is absolutely stunning. Composed of predominately Mourvèdre, with the remaining Grenache and Cinsault, this begins with gorgeous aromas of fresh white peaches, strawberries, lemon zest, orange blossoms, crushed stones and a light dusting of dried herbs that all come together beautifully. On the palate this is bright, vivid and beautifully textured, with remarkable overall precision and balance all the way through the mouth watering finish. This Rosé has it all, and it will be extremely difficult to come across a more compelling Rosé in this price range.

Displaying mineral-driven raspberry, blood orange, nectarine character, 2017 La Bastide’s Blanche Bandol Rosé shows outstanding clarity and cut on a finish that lingers with strong, floral-tinged persistence. This is a classic rendition from France’s Bandol region. (Josh Raynolds, Vinous, August 2018)
