Located themselves on an apple orchard-turned vineyard just west of the Anderson Valley on the Mendocino Ridge, Jason and Molly Drew craft some of the most transcendent Pinot Noirs in the county. Their Morning Dew Ranch is nothing short of utterly magnificent. Elegant and silky, yet structured, it sings of rose geranium, salt and pepper, lavender, rosemary, and smoked cherry pit. The site's name itself is so evocative, and drinking this wine feels like swallowing the fog.

Bright cran-cherry nose, with an underlying touch of wood smoke and wet earth. Orange peel and spices too. Light to medium bodied coupled with a juicy mid. Finish is long and the light berry fruit continues to repeat. Acid is present but very cohesive with the other components. This is the real shit. Can't wait to try more. Still young and primary outside of the super expensive nose. Better to hold, but I couldn't wait, and it was great in its infancy.

This was fantastic. It was delicate and interesting with a nose of berry, strawberry and raspberry. It also had flavors of strawberry and a tiny bit of spice. On a hot day this was a great red.

Tight core of red fruits on the frontside of ripeness. Minerality for days. Some stem or seed bitterness on the very back end. Very nice, elegant Pinot. Curious what a WS example is like.

This was a very rich and flavor filled Pinot. It was almost like a very delicate Cabernet in the multi-faceted flavors it gave.

Terroir is real. Cali producers that know this and respect this completely 100% are extremely rare. This guy knows this and respects this. It shows. Very lucky to have had a few bottles of this over the years. Tasting notes do not do this justice especially when you give this plenty of time to settle down in the bottle. This is north coast California tried and true.
