Joel Gott Wines
California Zinfandel
Dark Ruby in colour - opaque. Barb thought aromas of plum pudding. Also add blackberry raspberry and blueberry. Dense and rich with pepper and spice. Rich sweet and full bodied. With the descriptors there is a lot happening. Medium plus palate intensity. PS.: Great value at $30 AUD.

Feb 22nd, 2023Nice ruby in color with medium intensity and a wide purplish rim.
Fruity nose of blueberries, plums, cherries, licorice, oak, earth, vanilla, coffee, mocha, smoke, light vegetables, chocolates and black pepper.
Medium bodied with medium acidity and long legs.
Dry and fruity on the palate with plums, cherries, sweet raspberries, light wood, vanilla, milk chocolates, coffee, peppercorn and spices.
Medium plus on the finish with soft tannins and tangy cranberries.
This is a nice Zinfandel from California. Drinks very lightly for a Zinfandel, but not in a bad way. Easy drinking with mild complexity and a bit jammy. Well balanced and enjoyable by itself or with food. I paired it with a burger.
14.4% alcohol by volume.
87 Points.
$16.
