Medium body, acidity. Aroma: tobacco, leather. Palate: dried cranberries, warm cherries. Makes me think of the color orange.

2013. Ripe and red fruit juicy. Spectacular value that's sure to be a hit with a roast chicken or a warm spring day.

Expressive nose of cherry, framboise and a hint of spearmint. On the palate the Italian dust shines, bright acidity with just a hint of tannin. Light bodied, a truly refreshing red.

Delicated palate, reminds a mix of nebbiolo and pinot noir. Not complex but with structre

In fair Verona where our story unfolds. Cool style to that label. Classic modern art. Light red to dark pink in the glass. And you can see to the bottom of the pool. Smells of leaves 🍁 in the fall, fruit in the summer, Easter lily or hyacinth in the spring, and pies in the oven in winter. Flavors are stunning. Citrus (blood orange, cherries, plums), fresh herbs (tarragon, basil, marjoram), bitters or funky Euro liquors, and tobacco leaf/tomato plants. Does that magic trick of looking light and packing in a ton of intriguing and explosive aromas and flavors. This is a wondrous and wowzers! wine. Glad I got to experience it.

(And I guess it’s relatively cheap. Double wowzers!).

Drinking 2011 in 2021. Peak complexity and depth. Forest floor, a tad of wild mushroom, blackberry, black cherry.

Red cherry, red licorice flavors. Juicy bright fruit with a mineral background.

I feel like a Venitian peasant without the excitement.
