Terragnolo Salento IGT Primitivo

You don't see 16-yr-old Primitivo every day. Still has plummy fruit & cedar notes.

Tart, almost sour on nose at first. Opened nicely in the glass. Full Zin fruit, but cooked, not overly ripe, and rustic tannins.(unfiltered) Loved this full flavored wine.

Wonderful. Plummy on the front, in the nicest way. Lovely tannin. Really nice.

I have discovered a new favorite wine! Already a red vin fan, this is fabulous!

1998 still holds it together, with sublime notes & richness. One of the best values in wine I have ever had.

Nice solid primitivo

Purple ruby. Casiss and fig jam, sage, tobacco, forest floor. Serious tannins. Cuts like a knife.

Told the oenophobe boyfriend to grab a bottle of Primitivo. Not wanting to disappoint the oenophile girlfriend, he came home with this and I could tell from the second I opened it, it would have a beautiful spice and finish. Boy did it. Yum yum yum. We had it with a honey-glaze roast chicken and it was utterly seductive!
