Dark garnet red with a near black core. Shy nose and medium full palate of dark black cassis, black plum, and a strong oak presence. Medium acidity. Medium tannins, especially toward the finish. A nice Merlot for food, especially smoked or charred meats. Drink now through 2023.

Fruity nose, full of stone fruit. Spice on the lip, peppery. Robust mouthfeel, slightly tannic. Smooth on the finish.

Oak and plums. Not terribly complex, but horse heaven hills Merlot is very full bodied. This is quite enjoyable. Light tannins. Great food wine.
