The 2nd string red cuvée from Leeuwin Estate. Minty herbal Cabernet notes. Inherently a good Cabernet blend coming from Margaret River but only middle of the road. Drinks to its price point.

Excellent aged #caberbet characteristics, with #cigarbox #cedar, & #pencilshavings on nose with a palate of supple, yet grippy #tannins over a lengthy finish. Great deal at US $25

Meaty hearty nose. Slight oak immediate then backs into fruit. Solid.

Deep dark ruby color and medium bodied. Generous dark bramble fruit notes well integrated with leather and tobacco notes leading to a smooth finish with soft tannins.Delicious, breast value for money and a pleasure to sip, quaff or enjoy with food!

Tasted the 2011 vintage. Nose is white pepper, black olives, and violets. It was evidently a warm year and a strong year for the cab in the blend, according to the tasting room group. 77% cab, 19% merlot, 4% Malbec. Flavors were currant, olives and clove.

Ok. Nothing to write home about. Very young. No real lasting presence but was still nice with fillet steak.
