An excellent cheap blend. Strong black fruit notes, with earth and iron too. Spicy on the palate, long finish. $15. Better than its CA counterparts.

Pleasant but borderline bizarre dance between ripe blackberries and bitter cacao. Guessing there is a reasonably high roast on the barrels, definitely two singular dominating flavors.

"Odedi"

Dark ruby in color with a wide purplish rim.

Fruity nose with black currants, black cherries, barnyard, licorice, light oak, vegetables, bitter herbs, wet leaves, spices and black pepper.

Medium bodied with medium plus acidity and long legs.

Dry on the palate with plums, cherries, currants, oak, vanilla, licorice, cloves, herbs, spices, dark chocolates, tobacco and peppercorn.

Short finish with fine grained tannins and tart cranberries.

This is a nice "Bordeaux" Blend from South Africa. Well balanced and enjoyable by itself or with food like lamb dishes. Has some green and earthy notes, with enough fruit to balance it out.

This 5 year old is drinking nicely now with interesting acidity at the ending, but not one for long term aging.

Needs 90 minutes to open up properly and remove the barnyard notes.

A blend of 37% Shiraz, 25% Petite Verdot, 23% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Merlot, 4% Grenache and 1% Cabernet Franc.
Aged for 18 months in oak barrels.

14.5% alcohol by volume.

A good wine for this price point. Fairly rich with blackberries and cherries on the tongue added in with tobacco and some smokiness.
