Deep, bright-rimmed ruby. Lively scents of ripe red and blue fruits, lavender and smoky minerals, along with a touch of cracked pepper. Seamless and energetic on the palate, offering spice-laced black raspberry, cherry and floral pastille flavors underscored by a vein of juicy acidity. Closes on an appealingly sweet note, with well-knit tannins and repeating spiciness. (Josh Raynolds, Vinous, March 2021)

Wow, didn’t expect 15% alcohol. He well priced Prioratwith all that dry extract you expect. Lots of dark Spanish fruit, but with garnacha red fruit too.

Bold, age worthy, Garnacha. Firm structure where that stoney/slate-y minerality is the star over some good grip and red berry fruit. 15% alc but still balanced. Air is kind.

Unoaked Priorat. Gobs of juicy red fruit, red licorice, cinnamon stick, and a savory undertone. This is fresh and fun, and 15% alcohol is scarily sneaky.
