Great but not as stellar as the 15 yr Nikka yoshi single malt

Haven’t tried this one in a long while. Long discontinued and *exceedingly* overpriced as a result...I believe in the $400+ range now...insanity. On the nose, light and floral with a hint of seaweed. In the mouth light and sweet, smoked seaweed, lemongrass. Gentle burn. Elegant and classically Japanese.

Strong but loaded with flavor.

First drink of the night. Found some old age stated Nikka Single Malt, pre-run out sexy Jugo. Whaaaa

Quite tasty with a hint of smoke

Spicy and bright. Lovely.

Less fruit than suggested and also more peaty than expected - however wonderful pear and a great smokey finish

Sweeter side smooth easy drinking

Really nice. Smoky, sweet with an almost rye spiciness and long long finish.
