If you want to taste lean and classic Pinot Noir, this is a perfect example. The color is extremely light, a good counterexample to the ripe 2010 vintage. The nose is black cherry with slightly rustic notes of gunflint and smoke that I find charming and which Pinot is capable of giving provided that is is not picked too ripe. The palate is straightforward cherry with high acid. This is a lean and taut wine in the Burgundian model, light, but unmistakably and classically Pinot Noir. Given its low price, an excellent value.

Too much earth, not enough fruit for me. Funk on the nose, tasted like a dirty mushroom served on a slab of stone. Shannon liked it, though.

Like the friend who introduced this wine to us, this wine is a gentleman. It has a remarkable character without being intrusive.

Light but doesn’t cut through heavy, rich food

Bought this bin end on a lark for $15. I cannot stress enough just how hard it is to get a decent local Oregon red this good for this price.

Not a typical Willamette Pinot...some bret and VA? Funky, falls slightly flat but cool effort.

Wonderfully earthy with bright fruit; don't understand the low ratings, this was a favorite in a group of wine aficionados

Surprisingly light in color. Deep, rich, dark fruit aroma. If smuckers made a wine... So jammy. So much fruit flavor. Incredibly smooth. A touch of acid makes it a very balanced wine. Would pay $25/bottle.
