Tasted blind. Toed the line between old world and new. Good stuff here.

100% Cabernet and my style of Napa, more austere and balanced, elegant and old-world. Similar to Corison in philosophy.

Truly loved this. Drinking so well with this early in its life.

Been holding on to this one for a bit. This one needed about an hour and a half to fully express. Initially the news resembled one of those girl scout cookies that used to be called Samoas. A little bit of coconut, chocolate, oatmeal, herbaceous, red fruited. Rather interesting, so I left it alone. An hour later, red and black fruits on the nose but there was still an herbaceousness and oatmeal character. Entered medium + bodied. Red and black fruit with red clay kind of character. More classic Rutherford dust up front. Black pepper and bell pepper and sweet tobacco to the middle and finish. Hint of red licorice and oregano. Really neat wine. Old world. Great finesse.
