This was a miss for me. Not only was it of a grape I do not typically care for in a starring role, the overwhelming impression it left was of “doctor’s office” - rubber/latex in the background with cough syrup-like fruit, bitter and astringent finish.

No idea how I found a five-year-old bottle of this in a local store lol. The colour is super pretty, and fairly translucent. I taste lots of cherries, like soaked in booze, and wood. Looks light and tastes rich.

Strong black current on the nose. Pumpkin spices. Also a chemical-y smell that I can’t place but that a lot of New York State wines have. Medium body. Dry, tart cherry flavor.
