Castelli Martinozzi
Brunello di Montalcino Sangiovese
Took some time for the Brett to burn off, opened amazingly after an hour, partially small pour in glass and then decanted. Cedar, soil, fennel, mature red fruit, black plum, and some black fruit intermingling, roasted coffee and cocoa.

Jul 13th, 2018Last bottle. Cherry nose which comes through on palate with tobacco. Very smooth tannins with bit of dirt and twizzler mix. Very nice especially for the WTSO price point. Last bottle. Same score as 1 1/2 years ago

Dec 18th, 2022サンジョベーゼらしい、梅や紫蘇っぽい香り。
暑かった17年だが、それを感じさせない柔らかで、伸びやかな酸と樽のバニラやミルクチョコの感じが絶妙

22$ on WTSO nice rose petal red fruit nose. Cedar cherry tobacco hint of cloves. Nice. Tannins still a bit rough not integrated. Good length. Probably will be better in 1 hour as only waited 30 min from cellar. but very nice wine at a fantastic price point. 2 more bottles drink over next 3-7 years.

May 8th, 2021Soft yet structured. Beautiful wine. Cherry and tobacco. Earthy.

Jul 26th, 20202015 vintage. (Upgraded from 9.0 yesterday - actually better from decanter a day later. Bigger, more full bodied than I expected). Young Sangiovese fruit flavors and relatively firm tannins, but missing acid or better length that would make it more compelling. Still good wine for the money and some age might help. $34 at Vine Republic.
