I’ve had many Beaujolais this year and this has impressed me the most. Drank over 2 days.

Largely deflected some of the candied ripeness of 2018. A mineral bite and traditional feel.

Side by side ‘09 & ‘13 vintages. ‘13 didn’t quite have the stuffing to last. Aroma somewhat promising but it’s relatively limp and thin on the palate, with the fruit muted and tart. Acid still pretty high but lack of ripeness (with little else going on) made this feel anemic compared to ‘09.

Side by side ‘09 & ‘13 vintages. ‘09 the clear winner here - warm vintage gave this the ripeness and generosity to last 10 years. Aroma not incredibly expressive but the palate still rich with berry liquor. Structurally still sound and balanced. Impressive for a ~$20 bojo.
