Throwing tons of sediment, but showing beautifully at this stage, lovely prune elements with bright red cherry and dusty tannins. I did not like this wine in it's youth, but it's a stunner now. How do you say Bordeaux in Italian?

Meat and peppers at first, like roasted stuffed peppers, plenty of tannin but well integrated and some good acidity too on the finish keeps things fresh. Cabernet Sauvignon and Franc very apparent with the pepper and very savory notes, some graphite notes too. Going to see how this does with more air, pretty good so far.

Probably a little past it’s peak but still an excellent wine, silky smooth and elegant. Lots of sediment so definitely decant.

How do you say Bordeaux in Italian? A brooding dark purple with thin edges and a bright, fresh nose. The Franc shows it’s hand prominently here with some green bell pepper, moist earth, and smoke. Fresh red berries and dried herbs come to play, as well. This is an outrageously fun wine. A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc from Umbria? It may sound odd but it certainly works. This Superumbrian is full bodied and rich on the tongue with just the right amount of acidity. Plenty of oak on the palate but it’s well integrated because Italians know what they’re doing. Vanilla, chocolate, and red cherries are predominant, along with tobacco, mint, leather and lace. Go find this immediately and don’t worry too much about age, it’s brilliant.
