Last of the blind wines. This made by Mark Herold. Led with Merlot.

Deep ruby red. Toasty nose with dark sweet spices, a bit charred, tight dark red berries, leather, savory, gravel and pepper. Oddly a little Rhône like. Medium tannins (6.5/10) and medium plus body. A bit of heat with dark raspberries, quite savory too, gunpowder and some black fruits. Lots of dark gravel in the long finish. Drink till 2022.

Blackberry, black cherry, grape Kool-aid, pool water w/ chlorine, black pepper, sage, mint, charred meat aromas foreshadow Blackened beets, tar, licorice root extract, blackberry reduction, graphite, burnt black currant, mint gravy, rye toast. Smoke and fire. Much, much better day two.

Very delicious wine, full of flavor. Drank it with dinner and finished it afterwards.

Appropriately named. A bold, earthy wine. Blackberries, plums, mocha, and cola. Sure wish I had more.

My taste buds are hyperactive. Chocolate, blueberries, cigar smoke and a bit of incense. That was just the first sip.

Big dog Napa red. 2014 in 2020. Rich dark and a mouth full of luscious berries. Pared well with several types of food. Chocolate notes.
