Vintage 2004 / Partnered it with Comté cheese (great combination) Wine made under ‘Flor’. Not easy, acquired taste. But if you like these oxydized style it is ’Magic’. Nuts, lots of different nuts. Excellent balance, very precise. #vernacciadioristano#sardegna

Very fun and interesting wine. Not orange wine per se, and showing some Amontillado Sherry characteristics albeit with much more primary fruit. Salty and savory on the entry with an immediate bitter phenolic impact, but fleshing out into citrus rind, honey, herbal tea, hazelnut and orange liqueur. Flor aging definitely coming through, but retaining excellent freshness without much alcoholic effect. Tannins spread on the palate nicely and make for a complex and unique finish. Definitely recommended. 2007 is current release, beautifully aged and showing great balance right now.
