Love this St. Joseph. Such a different more “Côte-Rotie” style than the classic Mauves, Tournon, Epine styles. Super floral. Violets and more violets. Gorgeous precise and high toned aromas of mineral and lavender as well. Gorgeous red fruits and a lovely smokey, meaty and gamey element. Palate is structured and refined, and a bit tight out of the bottle but does blossom after an hour, but ideally I’d sit on this. Precise and linear, gamey, with huge granitic minerality and wonderfully pure. Give this 3-5 more years. But gorgeous wine if a bit young.

Sep 28th, 20192006. Soft and velvety. Love the earthy, Dutch liquorice flavours. Very fine tannin Beautiful to drink now. Not too much age, pretty evolution

Oct 7th, 2017Ahhh....2015 St. Joseph. Nose is terrific. Some leather, smoke, dark berry fruits. Soil tones. Super complex. Palate is phenomenal. Juicy and elegant. Wow. Is this elegant or what? Amazingly pure fruit and just brilliant balance. Nice structure as well. This has so much promise. But fun to taste now. Peppery finish and the fruit on this is remarkable. A great wine.

Jul 22nd, 2017Big cherry and berry nose. Smoke, Olive, leather, mint, spice, herbs de Provence, lavender, glorious nose, floral, and so deep and pretty and layered. Palate is super juicy, young and grapey. Fine grained tannins and terrific acidity and freshness. Good granite finish. Lovely.

Huge olive, smoke, and leather on the nose. Olive, ripe black fruit, violets, and sage on the pallet. Slightly grippy tannins as this is very young. Medium acidity. Spectacular example of northern Rhine Syrah! So good.

A very nice aged Northern Rhone, meaty with a little pepper and flowers, it is much more about savoriness than fruit, but it still has plenty of the latter left to keep it in balance. Yum.
