Etna Rosso Nerello Blend

This one took about 30 minutes to open and express itself. It was fairly acidic to start, but with some air the raspberry notes started to balance it out. Pretty enjoyable afternoon wine.

Somewhat overrated, resembles a Pinot Noire - 2011 vintage

A baby! An infant! Cooked fruit with a little butter + gentle minerality + emotion.

Pretty but a little thinner than I expected. Oak also might play too much of a role in this as well. Perhaps I had higher expectations.

Bright color. Dry cherry, red berry and spice. Good acidity and balanced tannins. So food friendly. These wines from Mt. Etna rock. Thanks Beth for the lovely gift.
