Enjoyable, but a bit ripe and modern for my tastes.

Lovely deep 2015 nose. So good. Black fruits, granite, so much granite. Tiny bit of Brett works so well. Nice leather. Palate is fresh and so deep. Brooding and dark fruited, with lovely mid palate opulence and wonderful purity. Ripe juicy tannins and laser focus. Excellent.

Smoke. Blackberry. Seared beef. Violets. A visceral floral and fruit combo that is reminiscent of a fruit bat autopsy. Those are the components of the really gorgeous aromas this St. Joe. Blackberry and cultured cream. Sharp, fresh Bay leaf, cinnamon, persimmon, hard, underripe, green plum. Black walnut and pepper finish. Large, grainy, yet surprisingly soft tannins.

Stellar Syrah from wonderful growers. Dark red fruits and integrated tannins allow this gem to shine with mouth coating flavors and aromatics. Still quite young and it has many more years of pleasure for those who can wait. A great treat for everyone.🍷🍷

Full body and rich but not overpowering. Soft mid palate and fresh tannis at the finish. Excellent value for the price point.

One of the more unique Syrahs I’ve had. Inky black fruit, roast beef, licorice, cinnamon, and iron. Great acidity and complexity. Nose and palate morphs with each sip.

Big and brooding. Good funk. I want to drown in this wine.

A meaty, old world style northern Rhone. Pleasant nose with herbal flavors on the palate. Worth the try and seems to be in its prime.

Dirty, barnyard, manure, baking spice, and smoked brisket with minimal fruit on the nose. Fresh raspberry on the palate, with mid palate sweetness, and a juicy red fruit finish. In a great place right now.
