Deep currant & boysenberry jump right up. As it relaxes Iā€™m getting hints of cedar, oodles of crushed cherry. On the palate it brings a youthful but surprisingly composed, expressive and robust character. Perhaps a symptom of the ā€˜14 vintage, the tannins are extremely smooth and melt delightfully into h mid-palate of the wine, leading to an elegant, if not a bit demure finish.

Bright ruby color. Perfumed strawberry, vanilla, floral notes and earthy aromas. Medium body, medium tannins, with flavors of raspberry, nutmeg, and dried herbs. Long finish.

A powerful nose with scents of red fruit and just the right amount of oak. Elegant tastes of strawberries, raspberries and Oak. A nice expression of California Pinot done in more of a Burgundian style.

Find American pinot to always have high alcohol but hide it remarkably and keep their profiles right in check, much better than Oz. Stem, rose petal, tart fruit of cranberry, strawberry, raspberry, rhubarb, slight smoke with an autumn leaf and mezcal like complexity. Medium plus acid, great intensity through the palate. Nice wine.

Classic rrv fruit, bright cherry, pomegranate, cranberry, dried leaves and soil, nice expression better in 4-5 years.

The fruits seem overripe and syrupy. Blackberries, black cherries, strawberry preserves, raspberry preserves, lots of cola, red vines, red florals, vanilla, pronounced chalkiness, grainy dark minerals, crushed rocks with good acidity. It's a bit too sugary sweet for my taste. As well, the high alcohol shows in the nose, flavors and you feel it's heat. This wine is in the trick phase rather than the full treat phase this Halloween weekend. šŸ‘» šŸŽƒ

A little disjointed, overripe and overworked tasting on day one. Day two, a completely different story. Mellowed out and came together. Really dark fruited with some good structure. What a difference some air makes.
