Inky purple, ripe fruit, fragrant fig and cherry bouquet. Loved it. Costco, $10.95

Fruit forward, jammy, high acidity, not a lot of complexity or length. Low tannins.

Nice, simple, plum flavor, smooth mouthfeel, great wine for price point. Paired very well with flank streak and a mushroom and truffle pizza.

Peppert blackberry and cassis nose. Deep and ripe fruit. Very fruit forward with dark cherry. It's not the most amazing shiraz we've ever had, but it's good for cash drinking on the patio.

Under $20 Costco find. We’ve had a few bottles of this and liked it. Then we found their cab and liked it better.

Costco under $15. Pleasant enough with our Indian take away. I’m finding lots of under $20 retail wines and wondering why most of the low priced restaurant wines suck?

Top notch pedestrian wine. Perfectly balanced. Fruit forward in that classic Aussie Shiraz way. Little in the way of subtlety. Great with barbecue. Good to have on hand for cooking: You can pour some into the pot and not feel like it’ll be missed; you can pour yourself a glass while you’re at it and not feel like you should’ve bought something else.

Dark fruits, figs and plums, on the nose, along with deep earthy notes. Big silky body, ripe plums and blackberries, lots of acid, mild lingering tannins.
